Facebook has told us time and again that video is the future. It has made a real push to encourage content creators to share more video and is rumoured to be developing new video products.

In recent weeks it has unveiled its new camera and just last month made "Facebook Stories" available to Irish users. Reports from the Wall Street Journal claim the social media site is developing its own app for streaming TV boxes.

While we don't have a great amount of information about the app, the WSJ claims it will prioritise video content rather than simply displaying the Facebook news feed. Rumours are also rife that Facebook is in talks with media companies to license TV style content, from scripted shows to sports and entertainment inserts.
