Dublin Airport is more cheerful than usual, after a proposal took place in Terminal 2.

Some 80,000 people are expected through both terminals today, which is the busiest day ahead of Christmas.

925,000 passengers are booked to travel through the airport over Christmas, up 18% on last year.

Around 90,000 LED Christmas lights have been put up and carolers are on-hand to create a festive atmosphere.

For Louise Mooney there was an extra surprise, as her boyfriend Martin Munroe - who was flying home from Australia - asked her to marry him.
