Irish-Swiss baked goods group Aryzta has announced the appointment of Kevin Toland as its new chief executive officer.
Toland, who has been heading up airport authority daa, takes over the reins from the Owen Killian. He had announced in February that he would resign from the position at the end of Aryzta's current financial year in July.
Killlian's successor will join the struggling Aryzta group following a customary six-month notice period, or earlier if mutually agreed by both parties.

He has a wealth of food industry experience on his CV, having previously held the position of chief executive and president of Glanbia USA & Global Nutritionals. Toland was a member of the Glanbia plc board of directors from 2003 to 2013.
With daa, he oversaw an increases in passenger numbers at Dublin Airport from 19 million to 28 million per annum and leaves it as the fastest-growing major airport in Europe.
Three of Aryzta's most senior executives all tendered their resignations earlier this year, as the share price of the Irish-Swiss bakery group plummeted following a shock profit warning to the markets.
