You may well remember the Pokémon Go craze from last year, purely because it's so very hard to forget. While the hype around the original game has finally died down, it would appear that the people behind it want to kick it off again, as they've brought a new game out.

The new game is called Pokémon Duel and was released by Nintendo rather quietly. The premise is simple; the user must make strategic moves to forward their figures onto an opponent's territory. Here's how Nintendo are pitching it:

"Pokémon Duel is a strategy board game that uses Pokémon figures. Build a deck with your favorite figures and then leap into a League Match! Compete with players from around the world for a chance to enter the top League rankings in League Matches. You’ll fight your rivals in real time! Win duels, get all kinds of cool figures and items, and make your deck stronger!"

Gamers can collect their Pokémon and build up a deck of trophies and items.

The game is free on both iOS and Android
