Truck drivers blocked up to 500 trucks from leaving Dublin Port this morning in a protest over the Budget. The demonstration has now come to an end.
There was traffic disruption around the city and on outer commuter routes as a result of the action which got underway early this morning.
The Irish Road Haulage Association led the protest, accusing the Government of failing to address the cost of road tax for its members.
Over 100 members blocked the three entrances to the Port this morning, but agreed to lift the blockade at 9am.
