Arnotts is set to launch leading make-up brand Mac next month, marking the first time its products have been available outside of Brown Thomas on Irish high streets.

The Irish Independent reports that it will be the latest co-operation between Arnotts and Brown Thomas, which both now come under the Selfridges Group umbrella since the acquisition of Arnotts last November.

The global beauty line is also sold in Dublin Airport, as well as the small BT2/Mac store on Henry Street. The latter will continue to trade until after Christmas.

The new concession in the beauty hall of Ireland's largest department store, meanwhile, promises to be bigger than the standalone store, and will open in mid-November.

It means Arnotts and Brown Thomas will be the exclusive retailers for Mac products in Ireland and comes as Arnotts undergoes significant changes.

John Lewis Home launched there last week, with luxury beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury set to arrive later this month.

Life Style Sports will also open in Arnotts in time for the Christmas shopping run-in.

Arnotts managing director, Donald McDonald, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Mac into a prime location within the beauty hall of Arnotts. Widely recognised as one of the top global make-up brands, this is an exciting addition to our store.

"Our ambition at Arnotts is to continue to deliver exceptional service and quality products, and to create new and exciting experiences for existing and new customers.

"Mac is one of the many new exciting brands we're introducing into Arnotts over the coming months."
