The remains of motorcyclist Aidan Lynam have been returned to Dublin by convoy this evening.
The Lucan man lost his life at a fundraising event for Down Syndrome Ireland in Clare yesterday.
44-year-old Mr Lynam was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick after sustaining critical injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car on the Kilrush Road (N67) near Kilkee yesterday morning.
However he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The REV UP 4 DSI rally - an event which was Mr Lynam's brain child - had raised over one million euro for the charity over the course of the last decade.
Up to 200 motorcyclists rode from County Clare today by convoy to return Mr Lynam to his family.
He is survived by his wife Nikki and their three children.
