A post mortem is to be carried out on the body of a man discovered on the shores of a lake in County Clare.

The 41-year-old was found by a group of people fishing at Lough Burke at about 6pm yesterday.

It is believed the man may have become ill and fell into the water.

An investigation is continuing however foul play is not suspected.
