A man has died after being found unresponsive outside a Luas stop in Dublin.

The 22-year-old was found with a head injury on Ranelagh Road at around 4.40am this morning.

He was taken to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination, and the coroner has been notified.

Gardaí say a review of local CCTV footage and the results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of their investigation.

However, it’s understood they're not treating the death as suspicious.
