Giro d'Italia to feature Dublin stage finish

Next year's Giro D'Italia will feature a stage finish on the streets of Dublin.

The full route of next year's race has been released today, with the first Grand Tour race of the year set to start in Belfast on Friday the 9th of May.

The opening two stages of the Giro will be held around Belfast before the third stage on May 11th will see the peleton travel over 180 km south from Armagh to finish in Dublin city centre.

On May 9th there will be a 21km team time trial which will be followed by a 218km stage the following day, taking in Bushmills, the Giant's Causeway and Carrickfergus.

On day three, the tour will head south for Dublin. 

This will be followed by a rest day to allow the peleton to make its' way back to Italy for Stage 4.
