Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault which occurred on Lower Drumcondra Road between 5pm and 5:30pm yesterday evening, Tuesday 3rd January.

A female in her 30’s received a number of stab wounds when she was attacked by another female at the above location.

The injured woman was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.

They are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Drumcondra Road Lower between Clonliffe Rd and the Archbishops House between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday to contact the incident room at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01-666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
