When it comes to surfing the web, it's easy to get lost at sea. So let Moncrieff's regular guest Darragh Doyle, a man who knows a thing or two about what's weird and wonderful online, steer you in the right direction.

You can listen back to his full segment below, but here's what you need to know from the Internet this week...

  • The opening videos

Dublin rapper Flynn Johnson gives us a happy song and video shot in October. Very much worth seeing for the happy faces on Dublin streets.

Bonus shout out for Participant, who have created a beautiful video using footage from old Tourism videos from the 1980s - some gorgeous shots of Ireland .

Jessica Kelly, her of the Newstalk and the PK show fame, has a problem with Instagram.

"The majority of people use Instagram to show off; it tends to be ‘oh look, I’m having a cocktail in New York at 4pm on a Wednesday’ rather than ‘I stood in a puddle and now my jeans are soggy.’

So, I want people to document the parts of life that don’t normally get photographed – the things we see during the day, but don’t even realise are there; the crap on your desk, the gross sandwich you had for lunch and the people you work with.

I’m asking people to post as many photos, of as many scenarios, as possible on one day via Twitter and Instagram.”

And people are posting. Their desks, their sandwiches, their windowsills, their to-do lists and their dogs. It’s a really normal insight into some people’s lives and one that takes that filter off just a little. For one day at least!

Better Together is a nationwide campaign aiming to build support for hundred of charities, community groups, clubs and associations around the country.

The video competition gives a platform for all these to showcase the work they do on video. There are some 55 videos up there and it’s still open for entries until November 6th.

All the videos are on the website and people can vote right up to 20 November. Definitely one that will make you feel happier about Ireland and what people get up to.

A new, important website launched in Ireland last week. ALUSTFORLIFE.com launched by Niall Breslin, known as Bressie to the audience, has gathered together qualified, actual professionals together who share practical advice and information on this free website.

The website aims to help people invest in their wellness from a rounded perspective - body, mind, spirit and the external environments we live in.

White noise is played in some offices around the country to help their workers focus, or we’ve talked about apps that help you play ambient sounds like rainfall, cafe sounds and thunder while you work.

Well this steps it up a notch - You can now play some EPIC ambient sounds.

A possibly useful - if it’s up to date - website. The price of a pint around 206 countries around the world. It’s giving Dublin currently at €5.07, Cork at €4.09, Sligo at €3.81 and Manorhamilton at €2.92.

Apparently the 10 most affordable countries include Tadjikistan, Bhutan, Burundi, North Korea, Madagascar and Myanmar where a pint is less than 40p sterling, whereas, Greenland (£7.19), Norway, Qatar, Israel, Djibouti and Singapore are all well above the £5 sterling mark.

  • And finally...

It’s in Norwegian, but it’s superb. It’s the album everyone will want for Christmas. Ylvis Calle presents Air Horn Classics...
