A public appeal has been issued to help find a teenage girl who's disappeared on a visit to Kilkenny.

16-year-old Michaela Furey who is from Julianstown, Co. Meath was last seen in Kilkenny yesterday evening.

She was spotted on the Bennettsbridge Road at 11.15p.m.

Michaela is 5-foot-1, has short brown hair and brown eyes - she may be wearing skinny jeans with a flower pattern, a purple hoodie and white boots with diamonds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda station or call the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
