It's been a summer of flux for Arsenal. First legendary manager Arsene Wenger ended his 21 year spell in charge to usher in the Unai Emery era.

Now, chief executive Ivan Gazidis, who was pinpointed as one of the key figures behind the managerial and backroom changes at Arsenal over the last 18 months, has left to take on a similar role at AC Milan.

So what does that mean for Arsenal going forward after significant change in the boardroom and the management team?

Arseblog founder Andrew Mangan joined Kenny Cunningham and Adrian Barry on the Football Show to share his perspective.

"No one is crying any tears over the departure of Gazidis. He's done an OK job I think since he joined the club in 2009," he said.

"You could say it hasn't been an easy job for him because of what's been going on at board level and the power that Wenger had and having to wrest that power away from him a little bit.

"But I think the club are better placed to deal with his departure than they would have been 12 months ago and certainly better than they would have been with Wenger still there. So it's an interesting development.

"I think the issue was that the rumours about him going to Milan, I think they were causing instability as much as anything else and he hadn't said anything publicly about the move.

"Now that there's clarity, the club can move forward."

He also pointed out that with Stan Kroenke taking 100% control of the club after buying out Alisher Usmanov's shares, more changes behind the scenes are expected in regards to the structures at the club.
