Over the weekend, a clip of former Sky Sports presenters and pundits Richard Keys and Andy Gray discussing Roy Keane made its way to these shores via social media.

Speaking on beIN Sports where they were joined by Jason McAteer, Keys appeared to try to play devil's advocate and questioned whether the former Manchester United and Ireland captain could be classified as a great player in his pomp.

His argument appeared to be that while Keane possessed peerless leadership and motivational abilities, he wasn't a Glenn Hoddle type creative player.

We put that to former Ireland defender Kenny Cunningham who joined us for all of last night's Champions League coverage on Off The Ball.

Kenny gave us a really good insight into how Keane really performed from the perspective of a team-mate both during matches and also in training as McAteer had made the point that he didn't realise quite how outstanding Keane was until he played beside him in midfield as he didn't always stand out in training.
