Conor McGregor could be in serious trouble after footage emerged of him appearing to attack a bus at a UFC event in New York.

Niall McGrath joined Thursday's Off the Ball to discuss the situation and speaking to Nathan Murphy, he said: "It's just absolutely crazy stuff, Nathan. I was up at the arena earlier on for the media day here and it's not the first time Conor has been involved with something like this.

"Obviously we had the incident at the Bellator fighting Championships in Dublin when he jumped the cage. I was actually texting one of the fighters when I left the arena and asked him what happened. He was in the bus and he said it was like 'gang activity' what was going on.

"They just stormed the arena - there was things being thrown at the bus which was pretty crazy. So he was obviously very unsettled by the incident on the bus but Think it actually stems back from an incident when I arrived in.

"I was actually on the same flight as on of Conor's teammates, Artem Lobov, on Tuesday, and Artem, literally just after I left and got dropped off at the hotel and an incident with Khabib Nurmagomadev and it seemed as though, from the video, we saw from that incident there was around nine guys who surrounded Conor's teammate, Artem Lobov, so I think it stemmed from that and I think that's why Conor and the guys tried to storm the arena to get after Khabib," he added.

The ramifications for McGregor could be serious after UFC fighter Michael Chiesa was apparently injured during the incident.

"This is a crazy serious incident because Dana White has come out straight away and said there's a warrant out for Conor McGregor's arrest - his flight, his plane will not leave New York.

"There's a fighter injured, Michael Chiesa - he has sustained lacerations to his face. He is supposed to be fighting Anthony Pettis on Saturday so it's a massively serious incident."
