Irish Dogs for the Disabled is a unique small nationwide charity based in Cork have said donations are down 30%. They are the only charity providing stability dogs free of charge to children with walking issues to help them to walk unaided, changing young kids lives for the better forever.

I visited Blarney where the dogs are trained to open doors, take socks off, open cupboards and help people stand. Dog for the Disabled receive no government funding. I travelled to Celbridge and met 11 year old Lucas and his assistance dog, Edgar who helps him to walk with greater ease and balance.
