Research from China this week found that the soft drink Sprite was the best cure for a hangover. A disbelieving Henry took to the streets to see if the people agreed. He also caught up with Shaun O’Boyle from Dublin’s Science Gallery who explained what exactly goes on in the brain and body when you drink too much.

‘Ballywood’ is a new imitative with the students of Gaelscoil Baile Munna who are working with filmmaker Colm O’Foghlu on a film about Ballymun with a Bollywood theme. You won’t believe your ears. Henry caught up the students.

A new OCED Survey shows that 1 in 6 Irish adults still have literacy difficulties. With this in mind Henry visited the Dublin Adult Learning Centre to hear first hand about the struggles and the rewards in overcoming reading and writing difficulties in later life.

And of course it was the week of the budget. Henry spoke to parents of all backgrounds about child benefit and free medical care for under-fives. Listening to some of the parent’s one can’t imagine how Ireland’s families might mange if child benefit was to be cut.

You can hear it all with Henry McKean from 8am on Saturday morning.
