The Tipperary murder trial has heard that accused Patrick Quirke repeatedly denied trying to control his ex-girlfriend by managing her investments.
Mr Quirke from Breanshamore, County Tipperary is accused of murdering local DJ Bobby Ryan sometime between June 3rd 2011 and April 30th 2013.
The jury today heard further evidence of interviews Mr Quirke gave Gardaí when he was under arrest for the alleged harassment of Mary Lowry in 2014.
The pair had previously had an affair before Mrs Lowry began seeing local DJ Bobby Ryan - whose body was discovered by Mr Quirke on Mrs Lowry's farm two years after he went missing.
Mr Quirke denied to Gardaí that he had repeatedly pressured Mrs Lowry to pay him compensation when his cattle became ill after he took a diseased cow into his herd from her farm.
He further denied that the discussion over compensation became heated or that he pushed Ms Lowry causing her to fall over.
He said he couldn't accept Garda David Buckley's suggestion that his management of Mary Lowry's investments amounted to control over a vulnerable woman.
He also disputed that he was to ever set to benefit from her will.
