There has been a lot of speculation as to who will feature on the 2013 movie’s soundtrack.

Hype ensued after it emerged that Jay Z was named as the official executive producer for the record.

The 99 Problems rapper has persuaded some of the biggest names in the music industry to come on board including his wife Beyonce.

As the movie is set in the 1920s, Jay Z’s task was to give contemporary songs a new jazz sound while pushing the boundaries and maintaining their classic feel.

Other artists who appear on the LP are Florence & The Machine, will.i.am, the XX, Emile Sande and Lana Del Rey amongst many others.

Beyonce chose to take on the late Amy Winehouse’s infamous Back to Black while Emile Sande has covered Beyonce’s first solo single Crazy in Love.

Amy’s dad Mitch said he doesn’t think Beyonce brings anything to the hit.

"I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it.

"They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money."

Original tracks include Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful and the XX’s Together.

7” discs are also being released for certain tracks on the album, including Jack White's cover of U2's Love Is Blindness.

The film’s acting talent matches the musical line up and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke and many more.

The official soundtrack is available to purchase in store and download online from May 7th.
