That's why Revive Active are pleased to have released their latest innovation, Meno Active, a supplement created specifically for women during and after menopause.

Meno Active is a super supplement formulated after extensive research by specialists in various fields of nutrition and science. It contains a scientific blend of 30 active ingredients, including minerals and vitamins, live friendly bacteria, digestive enzymes, Omega 3 DHA and plant extracts.

Menopause isn't an overnight process, it generally happens gradually over multiple years and there are three key phases:

Perimenopause: This is the actual transition phase, when oestrogen and progesterone levels in the body begin to fluctuate and this can result in many troublesome symptoms, such as hot flushes and sweats. Some women will experience perimenopause symptoms up to 10-years ahead of menopause.

Menopause: Officially the menopause lasts only one day, this day occurs once a women has gone 12 months without a period. Once this day passes a women is known to be post-menopausal.

Post-menopause: When your ovaries eventually stop producing enough oestrogen to release eggs and experience menstruation, you are officially post-menopause.

Throughout the transitional phase, hormonal changes affect just about everything going on in your body, from weight to mood, sexual libido and reproductive function. There are also a whole host of other side effects to content with, from digestive issues to low energy and insomnia. Revive Active's new Meno Active supplement is specifically formulated to help treat all of these key symptoms.

Meno Active comes in a powdered sachet and capsule combination, with each sachet creating a citrus flavoured drink when mixed with water.

The Meno Active research and development team identified the importance of plant extracts in the Meno Active formula, leading to the inclusion of Ashwagandha, Sage and Green Tea. Sometimes these botanical ingredients can taste a little bitter in powdered format and are best delivered in a tasteless and odourless capsule and swallowed with a glass of water or with the powered sachet drink.

You can take both the sachet and capsule together at any time of the day (although it's preferably taken 30 minutes before food) by simply mixing the sachet with 250ml of water and stirring to dissolve.

To create Meno Active’s unique formulation, Revive Active brought together some of the brightest minds including Dr Fiona Barry PhD, SPV Healthcare’s Stephen Costello, a scientific team from Shannon ABC and its own product development expert Colm Horton to lead a rigorous research and development process.

Dr Fiona Barry joined Ciara Kelly to discuss the topic recently and you can catch up below:
