A copy of The Beatles' album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" has sold for more than 225,000.

The album, signed by all four members of the group, was bought by an unnamed buyer at an auction in the US.

Earlier estimates suggested it would fetch less than €25,000.
