Oisin says:

After we all tore it up rather ungraciously at Electric Picnic, one might be in need of a libation that's perhaps a little on the healthier side of the spectrum. Not that we should be sipping on a non alcoholic beverage or anything that extreme, that would just be inhumane. A drink that is simply, a little more "mindful"....

And I think I may have found the perfect mixer for such a drink!  It's a relatively new Irish product called Synerchi that's made in Donegal. It is a collection of fermented whole leaf green teas that are delicately sweetened and flavoured with lovely botanicals such as lemongrass and ginger. On their own, they rare indeed very tasty and in comparison to most soft drinks, a lot better for you. But when mixed with some tasty booze, they can be taken up a notch!

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml Kalak Irish Vodka
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml sugar syrup
  • 100 ml Raspberry & Rosehip Synerchi

Method:

Chill a champagne flute with some ice to chill it. Place all ingredients except the Synerchi into a cocktail shaker with some ice. Seal it and shake it hard for 10 seconds. Remove ice from the glass and strain the cocktail, top up with the Synerchi.

Oisin will be making the cocktail live on the Tom Dunne Show, tonight from 10pm
