Anyone from anywhere can give a TED Talk. On this week's show, we're joined by curator Cloe Shasha Brooks, who leads a massive search each year to discover brilliant speakers who often fly under the radar.

Host Manoush Zomorodi and TED Curator Cloe Shasha Brooks explore TED talks sourced through TED's Idea Search, which creates opportunities for speakers who might normally fly under the radar to have their voices heard on a global stage. Manoush and Cloe begin their conversation by listening to the talk of Nigerian YouTuber Adeola Fayehun, who blends comedy with swift and biting criticism to talk about issues Africa faces.

Cloe Shasha Brooks speaks with Manoush Zomorodi about several TED speakers she discovered through TED's Idea Search, including exiled Venezuelan cartoonist Rayma Suprani, who says cartoons are a barometer of freedom, and police officer Jeremy Brewer, who offers advice for how to support people in times of crisis.

Manoush and Cloe round out their conversation with a look at TED speakers from near and far, including Yvonne van Amerongen, who created a dementia "village" in Amsterdam where residents can feel almost as though they are at home, and Zibi Turtle, a planetary scientist whose project Dragonfly will land on Saturn's moon Titan in 2034. Cloe also shares how listeners can apply to give a TED Talk, or nominate someone they know.
