There is a perception that Michael Laudrup's sacking has been a little unfair.
But according to German football writer Rafa Honigstein, perception and reality can be far apart when it comes to gauging the actual talents of managers with Laudrup a case in point.
He told Off The Ball: "It's so hard to evaluate whether a coach is any good. With the very best you can see they have the results and the team play in a specific way. You can instantly recognise a Jose Mourinho team, a Pep Guardiola team or a Jurgen Klopp team. But then you get a lot of managers who do very little. In the Premier League and other leagues, you still have coaches who will not take training, will say very little, leave everything to other members of the staff and Laudrup was a perfect example. He has such a great reputation and I knew the reality wasn't quite the same. The problem is you hear these stories from the players but can't really write them while the coach is still there."
