His 28-year-old adopted daughter published an open letter in the New York Times alleging he sexually assaulted her at the age of seven.

And now Woody has published his own lengthy piece in response to Dylan’s accusations.

“Of course, I did not molest Dylan,” he wrote in an article published by The New York Times on Friday.

Woody, now 78, goes on to assert his ex-partner Mia Farrow, who is Dylan’s mother, tricked the little girl into believing a fabricated story.

The filmmaker contends Dylan’s sex assault was implanted in her head by Mia during their acrimonious breakup over 20 years ago.

“I loved her and hope one day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her daughter’s well-being,” Woody wrote.

Mia put an end to her 12-year relationship with the director in 1992 after she discovered Woody was engaging in a sexual relationship with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi, who was 19 at the time. Woody later married Soon-Yi and he now shares two adopted teenage daughters with her.

“Being taught to hate your father and made to believe he molested you has already taken a psychological toll on this lovely young woman, and Soon-Yi and I are both hoping that one day she will understand who has really made her a victim and reconnect with us, as Moses has, in a loving, productive way,” Woody wrote.

Woody’s statements echo that of his adopted son’s Moses, 36, who came forward earlier this week to speak against his sister Dylan’s allegations. Moses told People magazine his father “did not molest” her.
