Arsene Wenger will reportedly sign a new two-year deal with Arsenal within the next two weeks.

The Arsenal manager's current deal expires next summer.

Despite being under intense pressure after the defeat to Aston Villa in Arsenal's Premier League opener, the veteran boss has inspired a turnaround which has fired the Gunners to the top of the table.

They have also started the Champions League in good form, winning their first two group games against Marseille and Napoli, despite a tricky draw.

The Arsenal board have always staunchly backed Wenger and now it seems as if his 17-year reign will be extended even further as reports suggest that terms have been agreed on a new contract.

Davor Suker - a former Gunners striker and World Cup golden boot winner with Croatia - says Arsenal need two signings to truly compete with the elite.

But he says the Arsenal manager is desperate to win more silverware.

The club's annual AGM is currently taking place.
