Mesut Ozil is out for Germany's Euro 2016 qualifiers with Poland and Ireland.

The Arsenal playmaker has been ruled out for 12 weeks with a medial ligament injury after a scan on his knee.

He played the full 90 minutes for his club at Chelsea on Sunday, before linking up with the national side.

Ireland face Germany next Tuesday, three days after facing group minnows Gibraltar.

Meanwhile, Martin O'Neill's side trained in Malahide today and there is no fresh injury news to report.
