Amir Khan fell short in his bid to win the WBC Middleweight title as Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez delivered a thunderous knockout.
The British boxer suffered a sixth round KO in his clash with the WBC middleweight champion in Las Vegas.
Khan had fared relatively well earlier in the contest against the Mexican until his guard dropped and he was punished in conclusive fashion.

Alvarez initially refused to celebrate his victory immediately out of concern for Khan, who was knocked out cold, until he was sure his opponent was OK.
