Conor McGregor has reiterated that he did not appreciate boxer Floyd Mayweather's comments which claimed that the UFC Featherweight champion does not get criticism for being outspoken due to his skin colour. 

McGregor had already responded to the recently retired unbeaten boxing champion's claim on Instagram, saying he did not want to be put in that discussion bracket, but addressed the topic again tonight when asked about it during tonight's press conference ahead of March's UFC197 title fight against Rafael dos Anjos. 

"I think Floyd needs to learn before he opens his mouth. You don't put a man like me in a situation like that. You're putting me in a bracket with prejudice when you don't know anything about me. I'm a multi-cultural individual, I take from all cultures, look at me. I'm a product of many cultures, as a young Irishman," he said.

"I know he wasn't saying that I am 'that' person but it put me in that bracket and I did not appreciate that one bit. There are people buried in the desert for less than that. Floyd need to understand before he speaks who he is speaking about. It's as simple as that."
