There is a reason Everton are widely known as "The People's Club".

The Liverpool club remain embedded in their community, supporting families throughout the city. That becomes even more apparent at Christmas.

Republic of Ireland captain and Everton star Seamus Coleman took part in one of the club's Secret Santa surprises. The Killybegs star travelled to the home of 11-year-old fan Will.

Will's father died earlier this year, and he was nominated by friends to receive a surprise from the club. Coleman happily obliged.

The 11-year-old seemed speechless in the presence of the former Sligo Rovers defender, who gave him six tickets to the game against Leicester on St. Stephen's Day, along with plenty of Everton merchandise.

Coleman's genuine warmth towards Will and his family shows why the defender is loved on Merseyside.
