Many professional sports stars will do all they can, at the start of their careers, not to stand out from the crowd.

Unfortunately for Houston Rockets rookie Chinanu Onuaku that was never going to be an option. The 20-year-old made his debut on Monday night against Phoenix, showing off his unusual way of taking free throws.

Onuaku struggled in college from the free-throw line, so he began to start taking his shots underhanded. The method is known as the 'granny style' in America.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports in the summer, Onuaku revealed that as unusual the style is, it works for him.

"As long as I get the bucket, the point, I’m fine. It’s up to other people to ask themselves why they don’t shoot underhand, but for me I needed to put pride to the side and make shots. I can’t worry about why other people aren’t doing it. It’s just a different form."

He had a 100% record on his debut from free throws. If it ain't broke, why fix it?
