Shane Burgos will be happy with his performance after he won his bout against, but that's not the reason he will be making headlines.
Although he won his fight, the reason he's getting plenty of attention online is down to the fact that he got a haircut in between rounds.
While he may well have been concerned about style points, it appears that the fighter was more worried about his hair causing him distraction during the bout, so between the second and third rounds, his corner team went in with a scissors and gave him a quick trim.

Speaking after the fight, Burgos told MMA Fighting that he had considered the possibiltiy that his pony tail would annoy him ahead of time, so his team knew what to do when push came to shove, or shear, as the case may be.
"I told my corner that if the fight goes past the first round and my hair is getting in my face to cut it off. It wasn't getting in my face the first round, but it started to in the second, so I told them to cut it off.
"It was pretty memorable, but it was planned beforehand. That was the first octagon haircut, right? I think that's worth a bonus, fight of the night maybe?"
Despiute his claim, it seems that the UFC did not agree with him as they gave Gian Villante, Saparbek Safarov, Francis Ngannouand Gerald Meerschaert the $50,000 bonuses for their fight of the night and performances of the night.
