With golf returning to the Olympics, this first year of the sport at the Games will produce a number of firsts.
In the men's tournament, Ireland are represented by Padraig Harrington who finished his opening round with a solid 1-under 70, while Seamus Power is also in action.
The first hole-in-one though has gone to Justin Rose of Great Britain on the fourth:
