Frank Lampard is finally settling into like in MLS.

The former England international was widely castigated in American media for his performances last year when playing for New York City FC, but it looks like he is finally showing fans what he is capable of.

Lampard's team were celebrating 'Frank Lampard Day' at Yankee Stadium, to commemorate him scoring 300 goals in senior football. The former Chelsea midfielder added two more goals to that tally in dramatic circumstances.

Playing against DC United, Lampard scored in the 85th minute to give his side a 2-1 lead, before the away side quickly equalised. Lampard then scored a winner in the 92nd minute to guarantee his side a famous win.

The win moves Patrick Viera's side to the top of the Eastern Conference in the MLS, as the team look set to reach the end-of-season play-offs for the first time in their history.

Lampard has now scored 11 goals for The Bronx-based side and is the second-highest scorer in the team's history.
