On Monday, a new documentary hits the screens that has the potential of changing people's views of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, which is co-produced by Asif Kapadia of Senna fame, brings an unparalleled insight into the life and career of a figure who is respected for the avalanche of goals he delivers season upon season, but has never generated the love and adulation reserved for his regular Ballon d'Or rival Lionel Messi.

Mark Ogden of The Telegraph has seen the film and he told Off The Ball of what he made of it, saying, "you come out of it thinking that it's a really good production", although he did add that people may come away with the feeling that the version of Ronaldo portrayed is too "polished, too styled" and that "there's a human element lacking in the film".
