Despite the outstanding achievements of Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky, China's Fu Yuanhui has provided one of the moments of the Olympic Games.

The 20-year-old finished in a tie for third place with Canada's Kylie Masse, but did not realise she won a medal until her post-race interview with China's CCTV. Masse was listed as third on the scoreboard, which led to Yuanhui's confusion.

Her reactions to the result have gained the Chinese star new fans around the world.
