For the final act of the game between the Barbarians and Argentina, John Philip 'Bakkies' Botha stepped forward to strike a conversion with a humorous twist.
With the score standing at 41-39 and the final whistle looming, an extra two points was not going to curb the deficit in any significant way. But that didn't stop Botha from leaving his own print on proceedings.
His second row partner Victor Matfield bundled over the line for a try and, in an unusual move for the South African lock, Botha emerged to kick the conversion.
And although he couldn't get the shot on target, his own rendition of Dan Biggar's 'Biggarena' kicking routine brought the game to a superb conclusion.
Having already retired from International rugby last year, Bakkies Botha took to Twitter after the game last night to issue his final farewells.
That's me thanks for the great memories rugby's been good to me. New life here I come. Blessings. pic.twitter.com/A7Tm1xn2Wn
