It's been 17 years and the fortunes of Offaly hurling have certainly plummeted since then, but the summer adventures of 1998 live long in the memory.

They went onto win the All-Ireland that year but it's the three-match semi-final epics against Clare that spring to mind.

The second match in particular descended into chaos (read more here) and we will be looking back on that with ex-Clare hurler Anthony Daly and his Offaly counterpart Michael Duignan on Off The Ball tonight.

For the latter however, one moment stood out as he avoided punishment for this bit of aggression against Clare's David Forde:
