Fulham beat Stoke 1-0 at Craven Cottage thanks to a sumptuous first-half volley from Dimitar Berbatov.

In an otherwise subdued game, the Bulgarian's magic lit up the encounter after the ball fell to him 12 yards out. 

Stoke could have equalised but Republic of Ireland striker Jon Walters missed a penalty.

However his international team-mate Marc Wilson returned to first team action for Stoke for the first time since breaking his leg four months ago.
