Almost by chance, Aston Villa's club ambassador Ian Taylor was in Dublin on the day that Roy Keane decided to leave his role as assistant manager.

I caught up with Taylor, who spent nine years at Aston Villa (1994 to 2003) as a fan favourite, as he promoted his headphone set.

He was shared his surprise at Keane's departure from Villa Park, describing it as a "real surprise" and as something that came "totally out of the blue".

Having seen Keane at work around the club, Taylor also feels he will be a huge loss to manager Paul Lambert at a tough time in terms of results, highlighting the Ireland assistant's popularity with the players.

We also spoke about Ireland U21 star Jack Grealish's potential as well as development at Villa.

He also shed light on his relationship with Lambert and why Lee Hendrie went on the club's pre-season tour in his stead.
