Things have been going so badly for Borussia Dortmund of late that they needed a lot of help from the opposition to get out of their rut.

Step forward Germany and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Christoph Kramer, who scored a truly spectacular own goal to see his side succumb to a 1 - 0 defeat to Jurgen Klopp's side, who are now off the bottom of the Bundesliga table.

No amount of analysis will explain what was going through Kramer's mind...

At least Kramer can console himself with the small matter of his World Cup winner's medal.
