Serena Williams was certainly feeling the Monday blues at the Hopman Cup in Australia this morning.

But after losing the first set of her match 6-0 against Flavia Pennetta, the 18-time Grand Slam winner requested an espresso to get her back in the mood for competitive action.

It seemed to do the trick as Williams battled back to win the match 0-6, 6-3, 6-0. 

"I just asked them to get me a shot of espresso -- I asked them if it was legal, because I've never done it before. I needed to wake up," she admitted.
