Wooly had spoken of trouncing Diarmuid, Joe and Donny in the endurance stakes but on a crisp morning in Ringsend, he finished the Goal Mile challenge in last. Dead last!
Of course, Wooly claimed the consolation prize of first place in the team event thanks to Gizzy's trailblazing time of 5 minutes 55, but there are no excuses for an athlete in prime condition (granted that remains unconfirmed).
On a sidenote, the two runners who finished first both sported leggings...
