Back in 1987, Real Madrid club legend Juanito ended up getting a five-year European ban after stamping on Bayern Munich and Germany great Lothar Matthaus during a European Cup semi-final first leg.

Both sides meet again tonight at the same stage and surely similar scenes will not unfold.

Juanito would pass away in a 1992 car accident at the age of 37. Since his death Real Madrid ultras chant his name in the seventh minute of home games.
