Sebastian Vettel emerged victorious at the Malaysian Grand Prix but not without some controversy.
The reigning World Champion was involved in a heated on-track battle with Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber. Vettel was instructed to follow race leader Webber to finish line by the team, but chose to battle past his team-mate with 13 laps to go to set up a one-two finish.
In contrast Lewis Hamilton continued his solid start to the season with Mercedes as he took the last podium position ahead of his team-mate Nico Rosberg who was also ordered to follow his team-mate home - although he complied albeit grudgingly. However Hamilton did commit a comical error during the race by pulling into the pit garage of his former team McLaren.
Felipe Massa finished fifth, ahead of the Lotus pair of Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen.
However Massa's team-mate Fernando Alonso crashed out early after damaging his front wing, while McLaren's Jenson Button continued his poor start to the season as he was forced to retire from a points-scoring position.
