Venus Williams has made it to the semi-finals of a Grand Slam event for the first time since 2010.

The seven-time Grand Slam winner has reached the final four in the Women's Singles at Wimbledon along with sister Serena.

Both siblings won their quarter-final matches and remain on course to meet each other in the final.

Serena continued the defence of her title with a straight sets win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, which sets-up a semi-final clash with Elena Vesnina.

Venus, who was the oldest woman in this year's draw at 36, beat Yaroslava Shvedova in straight sets to advance to a last-four match-up against Germany's Angelique Kerber.
