New Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal will take charge of his first game at Old Trafford in a pre-season friendly against Spanish side Valencia next month.

He will take up his role at the club after leading the Netherlands in their World Cup third-placed play-off against Brazil on Saturday.

Recent signings Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw are also expected to feature in the game on August 12th.
