Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal refused to be drawn on whether his club are planning a £120M swoop for Gareth Bale.

The Wales international is being heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

When quizzed about the situation today, Van Gaal did not deny that they were in discussions with the Spanish club.

"I cannot discuss that with you. I discuss that with my CEO and not with anyone from the media," he said.
