American porn star Sasha Grey has denied reports by pro-militant sources in Ukraine that she was killed while acting as a volunteer nurse.
USA Today reports that photos of Grey appeared on social media site VKontakte alongside a story of how she had been attending to injured rebels, but had been captured by Ukranian forces and brutally killed by an axe.
The 26-year-old Grey took to Twitter to vent her frustration at the false news:
I <3 my Russian fans, but this propaganda takes it too far. News that I was a NURSE killed in the Russian/Ukraine conflict. #fuckpropoganda

Contrary to this recent story, she has previously been accused of supporting the other side in the conflict. During pro-European protests in Kiev last year, Grey tweeted her support for the country.
